At HEI Civil, our team's growth and safety are central to our mission. We've taken a significant step forward by acquiring a CM Labs Vortex Advantage Training Simulator for our Learning and Development training program. This advanced technology enables our team members to learn, practice, and improve their equipment skills in a safe, controlled, and cost-effective environment.
The simulator replicates the feel of operating real heavy equipment, featuring three immersive screens and software for seven different machines, including excavators, dozers, and loaders. It offers hands-on training, immediate feedback, and real-world scenarios, making it an ideal tool for both new and experienced team members.
Our Learning and Development department uses the CM Labs Vortex Advantage Training Simulator to assess operator skills during hiring, introduce new team members and mechanics to various machines, and continually upskill our workforce, all without the costs, risks, or downtime associated with using actual equipment.
Recently, our Learning and Development team partnered with the HEI Civil Shop team, allowing three PM technicians and four mechanics to test and expand their skills on the simulator. This practical collaboration enhanced their understanding of machine operation and improved safety when working with real equipment.
