Southeast Arterial Corridor Road – Castle Rock, CO
Scope: Southeast Arterial Corridor Road (SEACR) connects Plum Creek Parkway to Ridge Road in Castle Rock, CO, a distance of about 1 mile. During the construction of the road, HEI Civil blasters accomplished 70,000 yards of technical blasting with less than one inch of ground movement 100 feet from the blast. the project also included a conspan wildlife crossing, asphalt paving, curb and gutter, and the construction of a traffic circle at the intersection with Ridge Road. All traffic control was done in houses. This was a challenging project because the construciton area was in close proximity with occupied dwellings.
